Stood the test of time — old, widely published, and repeatedly endorsed

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is probably the book I gift most. It's the definitive guide to Stoic thinking, written by a man who had real power and chose to constrain himself.

If you ever feel like you're suffering for no reason, read Man's Search for Meaning. Frankl survived the Holocaust by finding purpose. There are no excuses after that.

The Art of War is not just about war. It's a book about competitive dynamics — how to win without fighting.

If I could only recommend one book, Letters from a Stoic would be a very strong contender. Seneca writes like a friend who has figured out how to live.

The Tao Te Ching is one of those books that reveals itself differently every time you read it.

Seneca's essay on time is one of the most important things I've ever read. The insight that life is long if you know how to use it hit me hard.

The Prince is essential — not as a guide to immorality but as an unflinching description of how power actually works.

I've recommended Influence more than any other business book. Understanding the six principles of persuasion is practical immediately.

The War of Art is the best book on overcoming creative resistance. I give it to everyone who tells me they want to create something.

@TimMaurer Great book!

Charlie Munger's way of thinking — using a lattice of mental models from multiple disciplines — is the most useful intellectual framework I've encountered.

Antifragile has completely changed how I think about building a career, a body, and a life. The concept will stay with you.

Knight's memoir is the most honest portrayal of an entrepreneur's journey I've encountered.

I haven't read the bottom book, but the top three are all INCREDIBLE.

I loved the movie, but I loved the book 10x more.

One of my favorite books of the last five years.
